oh, did that annoy you?

An aide to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said both Abbas and Egyptian officials called Syrian President Bashar Assad to ask him to persuade Mashaal to order the soldier's release. Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak spoke with Abbas on Thursday, Egypt's state news agency said.

Mashaal, meanwhile, sought help from Arab leaders to stop Israel's incursion, a statement from his office said.

When you act like a murdering thug, bad things happen to you.

But "so long as they were smart enough not to openly exercise terror, no one touched them," said the senior Israeli military officer. "But now they've gone back to it, so we have the right to deal differently with this terrorist government and try to remove them."

The Israeli defense minister, Amir Peretz, said today: "The masquerade ball is over. The suits and ties will not serve as cover to the involvement and support of kidnappings and terror."

The Israelis cited Hamas's firing of Qassam rockets beginning earlier this month, its public declaration that a cease-fire with Israel is over and its open involvement in the raid early Sunday into Israeli territory that resulted in the deaths of two Israeli soldiers and the seizing of a wounded corporal, Gilad Shalit, 19.

piss on arab anger, they want an unobstructed right to murder at will, and cry like babies when it comes back to haunt them. They can eat it, just another western injustice on poor widdle arab peoples, all they wanted was to fire rockets at schools and hospitals... HOW can the world be sooooo mean, and allow us to get it in the ass like this?

The so called arab street is nothing but a halfwit bully, taking pleasure in blood, as long as someone else bleeds. But when it's their's,... break out the towels they're turning on the tap.

If you can't talk sense to them,

Try laughing at them instead.

What’s more, they probably assumed they were being watched. The spokesman referenced the Times story on classified satellites that could see through roofs at night from space, unless the roofs were covered with two layers of aluminum foil. “Thanks to that story,” the spokesman added, “the satellite has only been used one-tenth of the time, which adds considerably to its longevity.” He also referenced a story on Baghdad’s booming aluminum-installation trade as one of those “good news” stories bloggers are always demanding.

Aren't we all glad that the NYT's is so responsible?

Lileks take down brought to you by Instapundit. Obviously common sense doesn't reach them, so how about shame instead? They won't see this as a mistake, till they realize just how much they have alienated the American people. They still won't admit to being wrong, but they might hesitate to do it again.

True confession?

Michael Moore,

GSFP and Code Pink are sponsoring a hunger strike for peace which begins July 04, called Troops Home Fast

Some of us like Dick

Gregory and Diane Wilson will be fasting until the troops come home from Iraq, and some, like me, will be fasting for a specified time. My fast will begin on 7/04 and end on the last day of Camp Casey: 09/02.

Somehow, I always thought he did, but his confession is rather nice.

Unfair? Really, after seeing how this shithead manipulated men and women, cut and pasted here and there, just made up some, and then put it all together as if it were fact....

fuck fair,

He's got it coming, and he's done exactly the same to others.

Good men and women are in the ground, they died for a thing that Mikey says we don't have. They are gone, and the freedom they died for is in peril if we ever start to believe a conman with a camera, and bucket of mud.

The sound of one hand clapping...

Despite a high level of media coverage for the World Cup soccer tournament, three-fourths of Americans (78%) are not following the action very closely if at all. A Rasmussen Reports survey of 1,000 adults found that just 6% are following the tournament very closely.

This is a surprise? Americans know what football is, and it's not soccer, not here. We have no reason to care about a sport that is widely regarded here, as a kids game. Something to do in gym class, not a serious sport. Is that unfair?

who cares?

The world's facsination with it is fine, have at. What's troubling isn't that American's don't care, it's that the "world" is annoyed that we don't. What's wrong with you seems to be the attitude. Again, yawn,... We aren't the kind of nation to be excited just because everyone else is. They need a better reason than conformity to complain. They might try,.....

boobs and beer...

now that would get our attention.

Guess who?

A poor reproduction, but I don't have a scanner, and I suck with a digital camera. Still....

who is that young feller?

The only pic not in storage. It's old, been wet a time or two, and worn on the edges. A different time, a time when bad guys were just evil, not evil AND crazy......

I'm glad they worry about their own people, aren't you?

Little Green Footballs

Associated Press photographer Wesam Saleh tags along and takes pictures as terrorists set up bombs.
And notice the children all around, providing: 1) human shields for the terrorists, and 2) propaganda fodder if the IDF strikes and accidentally kills them or if the bomb explodes prematurely.

From the picture, you can see just how carefull they are to avoid causalties amomgst their own. They mix with crowds and children, then scream and bitch when return fire hits them.....

I'm sorry when innocents die, from any side, the shame, utter shame of it, is that the Palestinians.... aren't. How can anyone legitimately say, that Israel is the bad guy, when we have so much proof of the way Pali's serve up their own as cannon fodder to provide footage for the evening news?

Some do, however. A sick, diseased few,

choosing between good sense, and childhood tantrum

What his opponents are counting on.

Along with the bloggers and local Democrats, Lieberman faces another dangerous opponent in Lamont. He's a wealthy upstart in a primary, which tend to draw low turnouts — and the people most motivated to vote may be those angry at Lieberman. To try to counter that and turn out more voters for himself, the moderate Dem is spending a lot of time courting labor unions. Still, "the only people who seem to know when the primary is are the Lamont people," says John Droney, a former state party chair and Lieberman ally.

It's pretty clear, differring opinions are so unwelcome in the democratic party among it's leftwingnuts, that they will crush you if they can. It's evident that this is a minority movement. They hope a depressed turn out, with only the most strident dems voting will allow them to rob the state of a moderate choice. Which is why Lieberman should run as an independent if they succeed. It's the only way to put a foot up the ass of the little commisar's in the democratic party.

The days when an opinion was a matter of personal choice in the democratic party are done. The little goose stepping KOS's are going to destroy you if they can for being off their perfect script. Obey, shut up, take your talking points from us and get in step. Has the democratic party, the party of "choice" now sunk so low, that having an independent mind is toxic? When making up your own mind is not allowed?

seems so.

This is why if Kos succeeds, he's doomed the democrats to wander in the wilderness for a generation. He will give the moderate half of the democrats right to McCain. MCCain already has broad appeal, becoming the party of persecuting heretics will just make it easier still for him to win. Be a democrat, they'll give you your opnion shortly, and be sure to act like you enjoy it,.....

they'll be watching you.

I don't know how credibile NewsMax is, but this sounds entirely possible. In fact, it's mention of undisclosed footage would be a stunning reversal of the coverage up till now. Video proof, that Time, got it disasterously wrong, and Murtha (haaaawk,.... spit) after his pronouncements, is going to be hung out to dry.

New Evidence Emerges in Haditha Case

New evidence continues to emerge that U.S. Marines did not wantonly kill Iraqi civilians in Haditha last November - and the soldiers' accounts of what happened are backed up by videotape shot by an ultralight vehicle, NewsMax has learned.

Maybe Murtha it may turn out, should have got it straight, before, he shot his big fat mouth off. If this pans out, think Murtha will apologize? Or just scream coverup, while awaiting Congressional Censur for being an ass... My money is on his being an ass.

Powerline has more on Haditha, though not on this story.

The NYT's, your life is unimportant to us.

What on earth would George Washington have made of Bill Keller, executive editor of the New York Times, and his comrades in today’s American media?

What would he have made of transparently politicized free-speech zealots who inform for the enemy and have the nerve to call it “patriotism.”

That about covers it. You, an American citizen, your life means nothing to the NYT's if they can get a story out of it. The lives of our soldiers means nothing to them, because the NYT's just told them how to move their money better unseen. Money to buy more IED's, but hey, Keller could give a shit about that. After all, he's got a juicy story, and no one, not the president, not congress, no one is more mighty than mr. keller, no no. After all, him is mr. big time superhero newspaper man. Him know better than stupid old you.

what are a few more coffins compared to Keller's right to help the enemy?

he'll just blame them on Bush anyway.

John Murtha

The first annual horse's ass award goes to.....

John (talkin shit) Murtha

American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran, U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said to a crowd of more than 200 in North Miami Saturday afternoon.

Murtha also has publicly said that the shooting of 24 Iraqis in November at Haditha, a city in the Anbar province of western Iraq that has been plagued by insurgents, was wrongfully covered up.

of course his target audience ate this shit with a spoon.

Most in the crowd agreed with Murtha and the need to redeploy troops from Iraq as soon as possible. "I believe we are in a mess over there [in Iraq]," said Alnoor Jamal, 49, of Miami.

Well shit, guess there's no need for a trial John, let's just hang everyone above private, and crawl out on our bellies just as you'd like. A Congressman, a CONGRESSMAN, and he spouts off crap like this. You want a civil war in this country, just listen to this dirtbag and follow his advice. First, he's condemned everyone envolved without a completed investigation, let alone, that time wasting old trial. Shit John, we got's them thar A-GEN-DAAAA's to be pushed. Just get a rope, time's a wastin....

He think's we are a bigger problem to world peace than North Korea and Iran?

He passed loyal opposition a long time ago. He never even slowed down in his stumbling blundering blathering half-witted race to national disgrace. This guy's an idiot, as his "Okinawa" plan illustrated. He's found new life for a wasted, fading career by feeding the prejudices of the blame America, first, last, and always crowd. He pours it out like rancid honey, and they just suck it up, because it's a whole lot easier than actually being a rational thinker. The absolute disgrace of this, is his stance would be 180 degrees opposite were a democrat in the White House. I absolutely defy any lefty to tell me that with a straight face. Because if you do, the laugh will be genuine, if not the humor.

You have to laugh at this insanity, or the betrayal would be too much.

He's betrayed the Corp, in damning all concerned without waiting for evidence. He's betrayed his trust as a Congressman to serve the public good, since the only good he's serving to to feed up sound bites for al-jareeza to pump out. And He's betrayed his country, by taking a partisan stance and pushing it so far out of shape, he's made Bush a greater enemy than Bin-Laden. Only the most rabid of braindead leftwing hardcases believe that, and they, are too far gone to worry about. Not the betrayal of law, but of spirit. He's taking the hope of America, and telling everyone that she's just a murdering whore, unfit to lead. Taking the tradegdies of war, and waving them high like a bloody shirt,... SEE?.. SEE, how bad and evil we are? do you see? The recent torture and mutilation murders or our men that were captured, ... well, since he seems to think we brought it down on ourselves..... That it would have happened regardless of our actions would never enter St. John of the self haters itsy bitsy little mind, what little he has left anyway.

Murtha should resign, and apologise to his country.

That won't happen though, he's got money to make, and lies to spread. He'll write his book and collect his money, his infamy, and retire to the good life. Leaving everyone else to clean up the mess he leaves behind. Thank you Congressman Murtha, may you rot in Hell.

this sucks

OCALA, Fla. -- A Marion County sheriff's deputy has been fired after allegedly posting inappropriate information on the Web site

The Sheriff's office said 26-year-old Brian Quinn has been fired for conduct unbecoming an officer.
A sheriff's office spokeswoman sayid Quinn posted a profile on the Web site which included a photo of him in uniform. It also included mild curse words and comments about drinking and women, according to the Ocala-Star Banner.

now color me a wild eyed party animal, but mild cursing drinking and comments on women are bad? If this is all they got, someone get a lawyer. To be fired for talking about these things, and identifing himself?

I don't see missconduct here, I really don't.

?... OH, so the Russians can do it, just not us.

The DU is known for it's endless never ending wailing over every single life lost in the WOT as being the fault of BushCo and .... ya da ya da ya da. We're all nazi's and facists,.. When will the murder ever stop?

Qoutes on what the Russians should do after their people are murdered...

let's hope the russians release the hounds of hell
on these cowardly, sissified muslims. notice it's rare they use their suicide belts. they'd rather murder innocents.russians have a ruthless reputation (until afghanistan) i hope they get it back.

hate to admit, but nothing is stopping the bloodshed perpetrated by
the insurgents/muslims/ etc. can't go around beheading people without any repecussians. the russians have been know to be relentless. it might be a good idea.

A short thread so far, but my, how blood thirsty they are all of a sudden. No thoughts about "cowboy" or "roque" Russian leaders, no complaints about the babies being killed, nothing on the evils of war. Just vengence...

I guess hypocrisy is fine when you hate your own countrymen enough.

Nice DU, really nice.

such warmongers you are.

friggin traiters, they all should just move to the beloved Russia.

well, I'm impressed, (yawn).

Celebs to Join Cindy Sheehan in Hunger Strike

By Nathan Staff WriterJune 22, 2006( - Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan announced Wednesday that she plans to begin an "open-ended hunger strike" on July 4 to urge the Bush administration to bring troops home from Iraq.

In her latest statement, Sheehan wrote that celebrities like singer Willie Nelson, actor Danny Glover and comedian Dick Gregory will show their support for her by joining in a one-day fast. She urged her supporters to do the same.

yeah, that all powerful one day fast method is going impress two, maybe even three people,.... whooo huh. Cindy's out of her little lefty mind if she thinks anyone takes her seriously. The problem with the hunger strike.... you have to actually do it, and not quit after three days. Wanna bet she don't make a week? or even three days?

Gandi did it to the point of death, but then, he wasn't a poser and a political hack.

Little Green Footballs
Tim Blair

kinda an under statement

"Afghan and coalition forces pressed the attack with joint fires and a ground assault, killing an estimated 45 extremists in the firefight."

It said two coalition soldiers were killed and another was wounded in the battle, but did not give their identities.

The latest killings brought the reported death rebel death toll to nearly 150 in the past four days.

The Taliban were not immediately available for comment.

I wonder if the author meant this to be funny?
